Draw the genie out of the bottle. Release yourself and give away all your inhibitions. Fear creates a hole inside you and the hole turns bigger & bigger as the bottle grips tighter & tighter. Your healing power diminishes with your augmented fear. The fear holds you tight as the bottle holds the genie into it. So today is the time you let the genie in you, out of the bottle and not an ephemeral & substantive bottle to take hold of you and your actions.
She had wrinkles not only on her skin but also in her brain. She remembered crystal clear the day she left college and the typical stereotyping of evaluation on marks. Scientific experiments and programming was not her calling, she was dragged into the formula of taking up science based on her higher percentage achieved in schooling. Even mixing two chemicals in a chemistry lab, made her visualize the conflux of Ganga and Yamuna. She pondered looking at the curly brackets of Java coding as the road taking curve from Manali to Leh. The flowchart symbols evoked the view of the Taj Mahal and sometimes beautifully articulated Zostel.
She let go of society and peer pressures. She let go of the set norm of career paths followed. She let go of the self-doubt and fear build up from so many years inside her. She let go of the pressure building inside her on account of her parents’ desires and beliefs. She let go of everything that stopped her from exploring herself in the right direction and ceased her from taking charge of her life.
She traveled places and documented her real life experiences with friends, family, and other travelers. People around her and relatives shunned her and her traveling experiences. But for her, the set of explicit societal principles which is against women traveling & seeking their freedom to follow their passions made no difference. Looking back was not the option she chose. Travel blogging was her calling and she followed her calling, no matter how hard it was for her to unfasten the bottle.
She drew the genie out of the bottle and trust me it was worth the daring.
