Wander with me in the rollercoaster ride of emotions as I muddle through the journey of life

Uttarakhand Top Tips

Day 6:

We walked along the 90-year-old Laxman Jhula and explored the market replete with Madhubani paintings, Handicrafts Khadi, etc. We savored the Lemonama and Pizza at the Devraj Coffee Corner German Bakery & Restaurant, with a view of the Ganges and 14 Manzil temple.

After crossing at the other side of Jhula, we took a taxi to Beatles Ashram, where many have practiced transcendental meditation under the guidance of guru Maharishi. The English rock band, The Beatles studied meditation there, and a great site to visit for Beatles fans.

We were tired due to the sun-drenched sky and came back to the hotel for some rest. As the sun did not shine anymore, we walked to Bistro Nirvana which was towards Ram Jhula but a bit uphill, and savored Saint Veg Burger and Banofipie. After enjoying the beautiful ambiance and food, we made our way back to Ram Jhula (around 1km from Nirvana) to shop at Maitri Fashion, which is famous among foreigners forshopping good quality cotton dresses, Lucknow, and khadi kurtas. You will find the shop in the Ram Jhula market, near Parmarth Niketan.
