Europe Trip – 7 destinations in 20 days with budget of 1.5 L
Plan before you Act
Astonished? Seems to be unbelievable but when you plan your itinerary well before time backed up with complete research; budget like this is an embellishment to the exotic locations you see.
1st- 3rd April | Paris:-
Research your hostels (and not hotels) before booking – Follow and read blogs in detail to know which hostel suits your requirement. I had booked Young and Happy hostel, a very cosy and comforting one but it had no provision of lift. Hence had to climb up the staircases up to 3rd floor till I and my suitcase was drenched in sweat. On my repeated request to the hostel front desk manager helped me half way through.
Perks of staying at hostel– Friendly kitchen staff, Free city maps and sometimes extra advice to offbeat places from other travellers along.
Location check of hostel– Book hostel near to one of the locations you wish to visit frequently; hence for that matter we had booked hostel near Notre-Dame cathedral and Seine river.
Luck places a chance if you are smart – Days if you have partied till late night, relax at the hostel and plan for late breakfast or early brunch. If you are lucky enough you might get free breakfast or at least free breads/muffins after the hostel breakfast timing is over and there is lot of stuffs still left.
Check on Touristy places in non-touristy season– This advice is generic to any foreign destination; I faced an utter disastrous situation when Louvre museum was closed due to some renovation purpose to be reopened for the tourist month.
Explore places by public transport– Explore Paris streets by foot; all the streets are beautiful and unique in their own aspects. While navigating to take the appropriate metro line; I and my friends bumped up into some funny cops who tried Hindi lingo.

Eiffel tower tour– Be ready for long standing queues for at least 4-5 hours to get the top view of Eiffel tower which I unfortunately gave up after an hour. There are two lines to reach the top –one is to use the elevator and other is for staircase. Also remember to view the Eiffel tower through different angles and distances as well as different time of the day. At 9 pm sharp, we got to see a must view which defines beauty in a very extraordinary tinge. The golden glitter pouring its blessings all over with silver stars shining brightly over this gold.
Eiffel Tower
Replica of Statue of Liberty– Astonishing!! The colossal sculpture not talked about by travellers and by destiny I meant to reach there. Walking down the narrow path, away from Eiffel tower which lead me to the replica of Statue of liberty and adding to beauty of this entire journey I was lucky enough to see am orchid tree along.
Important buildings to notice– While taking the narrow pathway to Statue of liberty, do not forget to notice beautifully articulated buildings around. You will find Radio France at one side and Beaugrenelle shopping mall at other.
Statue of Liberty
Le Menagerie le zoo– A zoo near to our hostel and a place suggested by our Chinese fellow roommate. It had a serene garden with different species of mammals, birds and reptiles with also greenhouse effect structure installed.

Explore the food & cafes– A foremost thing to explore in cafes is their unique design, especially one café spotted had two mannequins placed giving a complete humanlike feel.
Cheesy Cheese– Please do not forget to pick up wide assorted cheese from Paris; as I could not find such variety in other cities I travelled.
Funky souvenir shopping– Don’t forget to shop the souvenirs, especially the fridge magnets which you would find near Notre-Dame cathedral (which I regret not taking and actually could not find them anywhere in Paris).
