Amsterdam Top Tips
Plan your days evenly
By planning your days evenly, I mean space out and try giving equal days to each destination if all the places are first time for you. No matter how small and little you plan to do at that specific place, when you stay there you discover that there is so much to do.
One of our biggest planning chaos was staying at Amsterdam for 1 night | 2 days, a place which you think only exists in dream, so mystical and charming to happen in reality. We actually rushed through the entire city to soak in each nook and corner in such less time.

Walking Etiquettes- Amsterdam is known for its bicycle culture, as you see teens or adults riding one on each corner of the road. You have bicycle traffic than car traffic in this city! One of the biggest disclaimer is for walking, is to be careful of both bicycle lane and car lane.
Explore the food- Try different options in food, like wide assortment of chocolates, Italian food, Macaron and chocolate banana pancake, a famous pancake joint near to Anna frank house.

Don’t always go by word of mouth- The place more known for its red light area and hash brownies and less talked for its peaceful yet informative canal cruise. A must do thing is the canal cruise through the magical city. Also while cruising through the city, do not forgot to notice the “Dutch National Opera & Ballet” or known as “Stopera”, a building that houses Amsterdam city hall.

Discover unexplored places- Begijnhof, Amsterdam is one of the peaceful hidden treasures in Amsterdam and not much explored place by tourist. One can just stroll through the church and historic buildings around.
To avoid long queues of famous Amsterdam museums, be it Van Gogh or Rijksmuseum, we discovered Banksy museum, one of the coolest museum I have ever seen. Banksy depicted street culture of Amsterdam in a hilarious and innovative way. To add to this, there was a vibrant and colourful Lichtenstein 3D room created inside.
Book online, if possible- Check online tickets for Anna frank house as being a non-touristy season, the house was on renovation and the bookings were done only through online mode. In top of that, reservations were full till 2-3 months ahead.
